Roy Keane has compared the seasons of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Frank Lampard.
Solskjaer took charge of his first full season at Manchester United and oversaw a tremendous second half of the season to finish behind only Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League table soccer tips for today.
Lampard was appointed Chelsea boss last summer after the departure of Maurizio Sarri following a fine season with Derby that saw them reach the Championship Play-off final.
Former United captain Keane has now explained why it is the Englishman who has had the better season between the two, snubbing his former team-mate Solskjaer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Frank Lampard have both done respectable jobs this season
“Frank’s done a better job, I have to say,” admitted Keane on Sky Sports.
“I expect them to be there or thereabouts, but the way they’ve played, the way Frank comes across, he comes across really well.
“There’s no nonsense about him, he’s made big decisions, he’s brought a lot of young players in, good players, good quality, but they’ve needed an opportunity, they took it.
“They finished in the top four and obviously if they can win an FA Cup, great achievement.
“But as Frank is reminding everybody, he’s not getting too carried away getting in the top four, but it’s huge step forward for Chelsea again.”
Despite being happy for the moment, Lampard urged Chelsea supporters to not get too excited over a top-four finish.
The Blues may have lost their best player in Eden Hazard to Real Madrid and been handed a transfer ban, but their manager knows that the club should be aiming higher.
He said: "At Chelsea we have to be careful getting too excited with top four finishes but coming into the job I don't think many people put us in that bracket."
Before adding: “When we first came in we maybe weren’t considered there but what we’ve done this season is take the opportunity to bring in the younger players and improve the existing players.
"There were a lot of unknowns when I came in, could we move forward without Eden Hazard. We knew we had lost a massive player.
“We’ve a real spirit within the group now and it’s a real team effort now

"Myself and the staff want to improve every time, the challenge now is to see what more we can do next season."
